Melissa Parks - Practice Manager

Melissa graduated from Whittier College (Whittier, CA) with bachelor degrees in biochemistry and business administration. She has worked in numerous veterinary hospitals all over the country and has settled in Boise with her husband and their furry children. Her two passions in life are running and her pets, so her family enjoys many, many hours together in the foothills and on the Greenbelt. 

Shanna Wiegman - Receptionist

A native of Montana, Shanna relocated to Boise in 2005 from western Oregon.  With over a decade of customer service experience, Shanna possesses an enjoyment for both people and animals alike.  The mild climate of the Treasure Valley enables her to enjoy several outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and floating the Boise River.  She and her husband also enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, and hosting casual dinner parties in their home.  They adopted their “baby” (a Shih-Tzu mix) Neecie from a local rescue organization.   

Ashley Rose - Veterinary Nurse

Ashley was raised in the Treasure Valley where she grew up with an adundance of pets including dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, and rats.  Her love for animals developed at a young age, resulting in a natural career choice as a veterinary nurse.  Ashley's interests include horseback riding, photography, hunting, camping, automotive restoration, and canine behavioral training.  She and her husband enjoy spending time with their family of pets - a Shepherd/Lab mix (Tucker), Dalmations (Hagan and Cruiser), and three cats (Lucius, Henrietta, Kalia).

Kelly Larrinaga - Veterinary Nurse
 

Kelly has been with River City Vet since October of 2008. Her love for animals encouraged her to obtain her bachelors degree in biology at Boise State University, where she graduated in 2006. Kelly is a Boise native and currently lives with her fiancé and two cats. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with family, watching football (Go Broncos!), traveling or reading a good book.   

Jenny Myers - Veterinary Nurse

Jenny grew up in the Boise area and got her bachelors degree in Zoology at the University of Idaho.  After working as a wildlife rehabilitator and zookeeper in Tennessee and Salt Lake City for a few years, she ended up back in Boise and switched to domestic animals.  Living with 4 dogs and a cat definitely keeps her busy and on the move and she can often be found playing soccer or softball or hiking in the hills.  Animal behavior and training is a special interest of hers as well and she has studied many different styles of training since one style doesn't work for every dog!  She loves the job choice she made 8 years ago and really enjoys educating owners about making their pets' lives better!
