Sara Liddell, DVM
Dr. Sara Liddell received her bachelor's degree in veterinary science from the University of Idaho followed by veterinary degree from Washington State University. This is when formal training for most veterinarians ends, but Dr. Liddell applied for and was accepted into a top level internship program at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego (vshsd.com). The 80-100 hour work weeks allowed her to gain experience and knowledge that normally takes 3-5 years to achieve. She received advanced training in medicine and surgery by some of the best veterinarians in the country. She then went on to do residency training in emergency and critical care at one of the largest veterinary specialty hospitals in the country, the Veterinary Referral Center of Colorado (vrcc.com). Dr. Liddell has worked with specialists in almost every field of veterinary medicine and has used her time with them to make her a more knowledgeable and well-rounded veterinarian. She then came back to her home town of Boise to work as the Chief of Emergency Medicine at WestVet Animal Emergency and Specialty Hospital for 5 years, Idaho's only emergency and specialty hospital (westvet.net). She is currently seeking board certification with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in canine and feline medicine.
Carrie Sullivan, DVM
Dr. Carrie Sullivan was born and raised in Southern Indiana and received her B.S. in biology from Centre College of Kentucky. She graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State School of Veterinary Medicine. After practicing in Ohio for 2 years, Dr. Sullivan moved to Boise and worked as an associate veterinarian at Orchard Animal Clinic for the following 5 years. Her special interests in the field of veterinary medicine include internal medicine, dentistry, and ultrasound. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Sullivan enjoys running and weight training, reading, and spending quality time with her husband, 2 young sons, and her Vizsla.
Andrea Sparzo, DVM
Dr. Andrea Sparzo was born and raised in central Indiana. She received her B.S. in biology at Indiana University, and graduated with honors from the Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine. She then worked as an emergency associate for 5 years at a large 24-hour Emergency and Referral hospital in Indianapolis, gaining valuable experience in management and treatment of many challenging cases. Her special interests include internal medicine and endocrine disease, ultrasound, and management of trauma. Dr. Sparzo moved to Boise in 2008 in order to fulfill her dream of being close to the mountains and the great western outdoors, and when not working she enjoys mountain biking, camping, playing violin, traveling, and spending time with her husband, her 3 spoiled dogs, and her Siamese kitty.
