VACCINES: Dogs must be current on Bordatella (within the last 6 months), Distemper/Parvo, and Rabies Vaccinations prior to boarding. Distemper/Parvo & Rabies must be administered at least 14 days prior to boarding or daycare, and Bordatella must be administered at least 7 days before boarding or daycare.
FOOD: We feed Hill's Science Diet Sensitive Stomach unless you bring your own food. There is no additional charge to feed your dog his/her own food.
SUITE DETAILS: All of our suites have glass doors and are a minimum of 16 square feet. Our larger suites are used for multi-dog families and/or very large dogs. We use the weight or combined weights of the dogs to determine who goes in the larger suites so we are sure to give the dogs the space they need.
LONG TERM STAY: Dogs boarding for 14 days or more qualify for a reduced daycare rate during their stay ($3.50/dog/day), and a free Do-It-Yourself Dog Wash at the time of check-out.
BOARDING WITH NO DAYCARE: If your dog doesn't pass temperament testing for daycare or if, for whatever reason, you choose to not have your dog participate in daycare while he or she is boarding, your dog will be let outside a minimum of 3 times daily.
KONG'SICLES' TREATS THAT LAST FOR HOURS OF ENTERTAINMENT: We offer Kong Treat rentals (Kongs filled with frozen treats!) to dogs that are boarding in a suite alone with no other dogs. We use the Extreme (Black) Series of Kong Dental Toys that give dogs a real chewing workout that helps clean teeth and gums. The toys are made of puncture-resistant rubber for strength and durability. They are non-splintering, non-abrasive, and do not get sharp when chewed. We only use the strongest Kongs for rentals to minimize the risk that your dog may be able to tear it apart. We fill the Kong with hydrated Science Diet Sensitive Stomach dog food and then freeze it to make a treat that is tasty and can be hours of enjoyment for your pet while you are away. If they participate in daycare, they can get their Kong in the evening before the Animal Caretaker leaves for the night. If they aren't participating in daycare, they can get their Kong during the day or night or both. Please keep in mind that there are a limited supply of each size that we are able to rent each day so we can only offer each day while supplies last. Please see Kong form below for more information.

VACCINES: Cats must be current on Rabies, Upper Respiratory & Panleukopenia Vaccinations prior to boarding. We strongly recommend that your cat is also current on the Leukemia vaccine, but it is not required. All required feline vaccines must be completed at least 14 days prior to boarding.
FOOD: We feed Hill's Science Diet Feline Maintenance unless you bring your own food. There is no additional charge to feed your cat his/her own food.
SUNSHINE TIME: Your cat(s) can have time outside his/her suite to play on our fun cat toys or to sleep in the sun in the cat beds that we have on our extra wide windowsill that gets the afternoon sun. This is no additional charge, and we only let one cat (or family of cats) out at a time. We split up the day so each cat gets equal time.
MULTIPLE CATS: There are divider panels that can be removed so multiple cats can share the same duplex.
General Information
HOLIDAY BOARDING: If your pet is going to board with us over one of the following major holidays, we require a deposit of 1 night's stay at the time of reservation. This deposit is fully refundable as long as you cancel the reservation at least 1 week prior to your pet's scheduled arrival date. If you cancel less than 1 week prior to the arrival date, the deposit is non-refundable.

ADMISSION FORM: The forms required for dog or cat admission can be found at the links below. Please feel free to print them and fill them out in advance to help expedite check-in.
PAYMENT: Payment is required at time of check-in.
MEDICAL BOARDING: If your pet requires special medical care, we do have medical boarding available. We require an exam for all medical boarders and boarding charges can be determined based on your pet's special needs.
VACCINE VERIFICATION: If we haven't administered the vaccines here, it is best to bring in, email (info@rivercityvet.com), or fax (208-888-7378) your pet's vaccine history AT THE TIME YOU MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT, so we have time to review and approve prior to your check-in. This will help speed up the check-in process.
PICK-UP/DROP-OFF TIMES: We are open 7am to 7pm Monday-Friday and 9am to 7pm on Saturday. You can pick-up or drop-off your pet anytime during these hours. SUNDAY PICK-UP/DROP-OFF IS NOT AVAILABLE. We are closed (no pick-up/drop-off) on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. We close at 5pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
